During the recent Workshop, the Ancient Maya App was installed on lots of different smart phones running various versions of their operating system. We discovered on some iPhone 11 devices the Read Filter selector that displays All, Phonetic and Logographic did not display any text at all. The new 2.5.8 release tries a couple different approaches to fix this.
Specifically I updated Dart version from 3.2.3 to 3.5.3 and Flutter from 3.19.3 to 3.24 to get the latest version of everything. I also changed the Filter UI widget to set its Text color to Black and background color to White. These should be the default but some developers reported this fixed the problem. Although I tested on an iPhone 11 simulator with iOS 17.0, 17.5 and 18.0, I’m not confident this will fix the problem. So, the Filter now defaults to “All” so even if it isn’t displayed you can see all the widgets.
