The next release of the AncientMayaApp will write numbers. I used this to recreate another glyph block from Memo Kantun’s Ritual de los Bacabes. Since the app can’t write dates yet I recreated a glyph block corresponding to a ruler’s title, I believe 4-ajaw. I think (again) my main glyph doesn’t sit on the bottom affix glyph well enough. The app uses number glyphs from Kettunen and Helmke’s handbook. Eventually, I will extend this work to support writing with logographic glyphs rather than just phonetic glyphs. What are your thoughts?
